Stoogle.co.za is the ultimate platform for anyone seeking information about life after school. Whether you’re a high-schooler looking for info on universities and degrees, a parent trying to find out how to finance your child’s studies or a student searching for something to do next weekend, we’ve got it.

Our story

Stoogle’s roots go back to when Jason Basel first founded an operation called Quality Prose in 2008- a website for high school students to use as a reference for school projects, essays and assignments. The idea was developed and a bigger vision was born, Varsity Vibes. The aim was to provide high school students with “inside information” on university life. With the help of Pieter Strydom and James Kieser, a preliminary website went live in March 2011 but remained inactive until January 2012.

Midway through 2012, the founders wiped the gathering dust off the project, incorporated and developed a network that would  take the company forward.

In a final rebranding, Varsity Vibes became Stoogle.co.za in July of 2014 to better cater to our users and growing network of partners, and is now arguably the South African leader in all things student.

Stoogle is partnered with industry veterans Succinct Design and Green Beetle Branding, working with clients such as Ernst & Young with a broad network of students studying at major national universities.

Our mission statement

“To provide a complete, comprehensive and relatable platform for our users to find any information they might need relating to university and youth education.”

Advertisers

The website sees some 15,000 unique hits a month (as per March 2014 stats)*, from a niche target market of 15-24 year olds and their parents, so advertisers get exposure to a definite market.
